Viruses: Software selection

Notice we've been talking about manufacturers. Many antiviruses are bundled with other products, often firewalls and/or antispyware products. If a company sells a stand-alone antivirus product, and a security suite with an antivirus and firewall, it's a good bet those are the same antiviruses.

Hence we will only be talking about each company's antivirus in general. It should apply to any product that the company sells which contains antivirus. There are exceptions, most often when a company purchases one antivirus and they already own another. When this situtation exists, we'll make a note of it in both products.

If you're looking at an antivirus product we don't have listed, go through this list anyway, while reading their product web page. See if they have the features they need.
